  • The Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
  • Hazard communication (HAZCOM)
  • Recordkeeping requirements (OSHA 300, 300A, 301 logs)
  • Reporting serious incidents and fatalities
  • Poster and notice requirements

Module 3: HR’s Role in Workplace Safety

  • Integrating safety into onboarding and employee handbooks
  • Coordinating safety training (e.g. PPE, fire safety, ergonomics)
  • Supporting safety committees or safety officer functions
  • Tracking compliance training and documentation
  • Handling employee complaints or whistleblower protections

Module 4: Responding to Incidents and Inspections

  • Immediate actions after a workplace injury
  • Conducting internal incident investigations
